Pradeep Vangala, M.D. is board-certified in Internal Medicine and he established Orlando Internal Medicine in 2000. He completed his residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Vangala has been a part of the Orlando community for more than a decade and has expertise in treating a wide variety of medical conditions. He admits patients to Florida Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital-Orlando and has privileges at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Vangala also serves as a Medical Director for the Medical-Psychiatry wing at Florida Hospital. |

Dr. Akella completed his residency in training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. In addition, he has two years of training in immunology and molecular oncology at the New York University Lagone Medical Center. Dr. Akella has full active staff privileges at Florida Hospital, Health Central, and Orlando Health. His main areas of interest are diabetes, weight management, and preventative medicine. He is an active member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Bariatric Physicians. |

Rachelle Mercado, A.R.N.P.-C, C.C.R.N., M.S.N., is board-certified by the Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the State of Florida as a family nurse practitioner. She also holds a critical-care registered nurse certification by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. In 1998, Mercado obtained her bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Memphis. She worked as a critical-care nurse for Orlando Health for 10 years before pursuing a master’s in nursing at the University of Central Florida. Mercado, who is part of the staff at Orlando Internal Medicine, is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She started with Orlando Internal Medicine in March of 2008 and works at Florida Hospital, Select specialty and with the physicians at OIM. |

Rachel Leone, MSN, ARNP-BC is a board certified Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed in the state of Florida as a RN and Nurse Practitioner. She was awarded her MSN as an Acute Care (Cardiopulmonary Specialty) Nurse Practitioner from University of Pittsburg in 2001 and received her BSN from Pennsylvania State University in 1995. She worked as a hospital RN for 6 years before obtaining her Masters. She started with Orlando Internal Medicine in February 2008 and works at Florida Hospital, Select Specialty with the physicians from OIM. |

Kristin Woolard ARNP-C, MSN is a board certified Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed in the state of Florida. Kristin received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2004. She worked as a critical-care nurse in the cardiac catheterization lab for Florida Hospital for 5 years before obtaining her master’s in nursing at the University of Central Florida. She has been with OIM since December 2008 and works at Florida Hospital and Select Specialty with the physicians from OIM.
